Burning with urination

My daughter is 3 years old and I think she has yeast infection.  Her symptoms are :  vaginal area bright red, itchy,  and a slight discharge  more throug the night ,  which she has never had a discarge before at all,  she says it burns  when she urinates,
My question is ,  her Dr. office can't get het in for 2 weeks .  will this cause  more serious problems for her and if so should I take  her to  the  E.R.     I can't  get her in any where  else because of Medi-cal?

                                                                                                                           thank-you,
                                                                                                                                     very concerned mother

Yes, take her in today to the E.R. This is not something that should be taken lightly. Burning with urination can be a sign of a kidney or bladder infection. If this is an ongoing infection, it can get worse and worse. This is definitely not something you should wait 2 weeks for. Go in right now.

Also, you may want to find a new doc who will be able to see your sick child right away.

Good luck. Dr. Mike
