Dear Dr. Mike, I have a 2 month old son who's quite an eater. He takes 7 ounces of formula every 3-4 hours. I've been mixing his formula using bottled water because our town water supply isn't that great. However, I've been told that I shouldn't be using bottled water. I've seen nursery water in the store, but I'm not familiar with it. Thoughts? Confused in MA
Hi Confused in MA, If your town water is filtered and purified through a water treatment plant, then it's safe to use the town water. If you only have access to "well water" or a questionable water source, then until your baby is 6 months of age, you need to use either "bottled water" or you can just boil the water which you use, before mixing it with your powdered formula.
