Hello,

Your little guy sounds like he could have laryngotracheobronchits, or better known as croup.

Croup is a swelling of the airway which can cause children to  cough or "bark" like seals (or dogs).

It is primarily caused by viruses, such as RSV, and the kids will have a low grade fever, feel grumpy, and not want to eat much.

You have to let the virus work its way out of him, and just keep doing what you are doing...tylenol and fluids.

If he is not better in the next 2-3 days, take him back to the doctor.

I hope he is better soon. Dr. Mike
