Hello,
Being constipated is one of the
most frustrating things in the world. Despite the fact that it should be
so natural, sometimes it just isn't.
Your question is not uncommon.
Busy schedules, stress, diet, and inactivity all can contribute to
constipation (for more on constipation, please

.
I think it's best to sit down
with a doctor (whom you trust, or other people have recommended to you),
and let him or her know about what's been going on, and what laxatives
or stool softeners you have been using.
In the meantime, try and
incorporate some fiber into your diet: apples, prunes, salads, etc.
Also, start taking some fiber drinks, e.g. Metamucil, once a day. You
can buy this in any grocery or drugstore.
Once you become "regular", you
will feel a lot better.
I hope that helps. Dr. Mike
